Sarasota County Commissioners approved an ordinance change Friday that will allow a farmers market to open on Siesta Key.
The ordiance change that was months in the works let organizers hold a one-year permit that allows them 50 weekends a year for a farmer's market.
Bryan Eible, owner of Foxy Lady Siesta Key and Salon Foxy Lady, who fought to get the Siesta Key farmers market, has said it will be open on Sundays from 7:00 AM to noon and will offer mostly organic items.
There will also be lowkey live entertainment.
