Sarasota County Area Transit is a very good local Sarasota County municipal transportation service. If you arrive without local transportation or wish to travel around the area without driving, SCAT bus service is a good alternative.  The southbound bus stop is located across the street from Sunset Royale and one block south is the northbound bus. All buses have a front bike rack if you wish to ride and bike. Buses run on a regular schedule with the main terminal conveniently and efficiently located on Lemon and First Street in downtown Sarasota. Other bus hubs are conveniently located by malls and shopping centers. You can view the bus fare and schedule information for your first trip. The Siesta Key schedule and route will give you a number of good destinations with connections to many more.
