My name is Paul Parr and I have been married to Nann Parr for the past 42 years. Nann and I met each other in high school and married in 1966. We live at Sunset Royale Condominium on Siesta Key and look out our window every day to the most beautiful beach vista one could dream of having in their front yard. We have two children, Jason age 38 who lives in San Diego with his wife Deanna and daughters Baeleigh age 4 & Carleigh 4 months and Justin age 36 who lives in San Francisco with his wife Ayako and our soon to be first grandson who is due to arrive in April or May.
Nann is an Occupational Therapist in Sarasota and works well with our senior population in this area. Nann and I have a second condo at Sunset Royale which is a vacation rental and through this property we have met hundreds of wonderful guests over the past 10 years. We are originally from the Detroit, Michigan area and I once said I would never live in Florida. I must learn to never say never. Through the Sunset Royale Breeze or the Breeze we are hoping to find another way of communicating with all of our friends, neighbors, rental guests and others who have not yet had the pleasure of experiencing life on Siesta Key. To steal a line from Dudley Moore in the movie Ten, “it doesn’t suck”!
We will use this blog to keep you all informed of how we are doing in the summer hurricane season when a named storm is heading our way and to also keep you informed of other items of interest on Siesta Key and in the Sarasota area. Many of you are already aware of the large reconstruction that are building has just gone through and it appears that most of us have survived, although at times it did seem questionable. The improvement to our building and to our condos is substantial as you can see by reading through the pages of our website. We hope our blog will catch on in time and you can all become part of the dialog that should keep us all informed with thoughts, facts, opinions, questions or perhaps just whimsical writings.
